Medalytix works with a world-class, multi-disciplinary group of partners to bring to market products that can benefit healthcare services globally. We are actively participating in research to deliver automated screening for the main complications of diabetes, allowing simple and rapid identification of potential health problems and thus timely clinical intervention.
University of Aberdeen and Grampian Health Board – since 1990, the University of Aberdeen and NHS Grampian’s Ophthalmic Imaging Group, a multidisciplinary team led by Professor Peter Sharp and Dr John Olson, have been addressing the issue of automated detection of diabetic eye disease and the team has published widely in the field. Their research has led to the development of safe, robust and effective, validated retinal screening software which we now offer to the clinical community.

Future partners
Our story is one of partnership and innovation in automation.
Naturally, any new technology is subject to rigorous validation work and live comparison to human review prior to its integration into any clinical service.
In our search for improved efficiency and quality, we are actively seeking to license proprietary algorithms which have been developed to interrogate digital images. We would be happy to work with interested parties to validate these technologies against large, diverse clinical datasets.
Please contact us at info@medalytix.com for further information.
Our philosophy is one of openness and integrity – delivering proven technology that can help prevent blindness.
